Orbit Books was founded on the reasonable premise that the best science fiction paperbacks are the ones nobody reprints — the 1960s British editions, the 1970s American pulps, the 1980s small-press oddities that somehow contain better ideas than most of what came after.
We find them at estate sales, in boxes at markets, and occasionally through a network of sellers who know what we're looking for. Every book is read (or at least thoroughly examined), graded honestly, and listed with a description that tells you what you're actually getting.
We are based in a small office with a very large shelving problem. We ship worldwide. We answer emails slowly but accurately.
